Living a dream

I spent April 2024 at Chateau Orquevaux in France enjoying the most supportive and creatively stimulating time of my life! Twenty-one artists from a range of disciplines are here, each with our own private studio, making the most of the beautiful surroundings, wonderful cooking, and gorgeous chateau accommodation.

Along with sharing their magestical chateau, our wonderful hosts Beulah and Ziggy provide encouragement, advice, understanding, and support for all of us to create, learn, share and grow in our fields of art. What a life-changing experience this residency is.

My focus

There are 20 other artists who are providing me with inspiration for complementing or responding to their artworks., or responding to them as people and artists.

There is a growing focus on portraits and I seem to be making ikebana portraits of the artists around me.

France in the Spring provided forage-able plant materials in abundance.

I'm making vessels from jars, wire, stockings, pvc pipes, tree stumps and whatever else I find in and around the Chateau.
